Before sowing: plan the plot and network
Describe the field shape, soil, elevation differences and intended schedule. Identify water and electrical supply points and existing network components. Position supports and pipes alongside the planning of agricultural operations.
During emergence: use actual conditions
Irrigation frequency and duration cannot be set from the crop name alone. They depend on soil conditions, climate, alfalfa growth stage and installation characteristics. Adapt the programme with a professional familiar with local conditions.
After cutting: preserve working access
An overhead system positions sprinklers above the crop. Machinery clearance, manoeuvring space and support positions still need checking. Supply the dimensions of machines used and requirements for cutting, collection and transport.
Measure flow and pressure before selecting zones
Specify measured flow, available pressure and the hours when water can be used. Along with area and elevation differences, these inform zoning. Check the selected Floppy Sprinkler model’s technical documentation before choosing equipment.
What determines the equipment budget?
Cost depends on field layout, pumping, filtration, pipes, supports and installation works. A proposal should clearly state what it includes. IRRIGARE prepares quotations after reviewing project data, rather than applying a universal price per hectare.
Prepare the location, area, sowing or cutting schedule and available water measurements. The Tadla video illustrates an installation; it is not a measurement of yield or water savings.
